Once you meet these two requirements, YouTube will welcome you into their YouTube Partner Program. This program allows you to put advertisements in your videos thus making money on your Youtube channel. So, how much can you earn? Well, it all depends on your strategy.
Here's a rule of thumb: for every 1000 views, you can earn around 1 USD.
However, there are instances like mine where I could get 1000 views and earn $3 instead. It's a music channel, and through that channel, I was able to refine my content and increase my earnings per 1000 views.

Think about the things you're truly passionate about and spend a lot of time on.
These are the perfect topics to start with because you have a wealth of knowledge and ideas about them. And when you choose the right topic, you'll naturally attract people who share your interests and want to watch your videos.
This is where you can share your passion. Show others what you truly love, and you'll attract people who want to subscribe to your channel.
Kids and teens often make the mistake of following what's popular instead of pursuing their own interests.
But the problem is, when you do that, you might realize that those topics don't actually excite you. And after putting in all the effort to make videos and not getting many views, it can dampen your enthusiasm, which can negatively impact your channel.
Your viewers are smart and can easily tell if you're truly passionate about the videos you create. When you're not fully committed to a topic, they can sense it, and it may deter them from joining you on your journey.

As a result, you may end up spending a long time trying to create that perfect video, which can delay your progress.
I made the same mistake myself, spending 8 months trying to create a flawless video that unfortunately didn't receive many views. This is a common challenge that many new creators face.
I also see my students, who are the same age as you, encountering this hurdle. That's why I want to give you some advice: don't strive for perfection right away.
Instead, start small and create videos that may not be the absolute best.
Now, you might be wondering why I'm suggesting this approach. Well, it's because YouTube values authenticity. Viewers want to see the real you, not just a perfectly polished version. When you start small and make some not-so-perfect videos, you're actually able to receive genuine feedback on how your videos are performing.
This feedback will help you generate more and better ideas for future videos and enable you to improve your content, thus growing your audience. By taking that first step and putting yourself out there, you're making progress and gaining valuable information to aid your growth.
One important thing to remember is that YouTube is not about being perfect.

Even if your videos are not perfect, there's no need to worry because not many people will be watching them at first. You see, no channel starts off with thousands of subscribers right away. I've personally coached many students just like you, I've realized that learning from YouTube videos made by adults might not always solve your specific problems.
Those videos are created for people who already have a good understanding of the platform and may skip a lot of information that kids and teens have yet to even hear about.

Over time, you may find that your friends hardly click on your videos, which can signal to YouTube that your content isn't captivating to your subscribers.
Instead, it's important to focus your efforts on creating the right kind of videos that resonate with your intended audience. By understanding your target viewers and their preferences, you can tailor your content to attract and engage those who are genuinely interested in what you have to offer.
Spending excessive time and energy persuading people you know personally to subscribe can divert your attention from creating content that will genuinely attract the right viewers.
